SECOND SUNDAY AFTER ADVENT

SECOND SUNDAY AFTER ADVENT

Today is the SECOND SUNDAY IN ADVENT! We are coming close to the festivity of Christmas and thereafter enter the New Year 2018. I pray Dear Lord, that as our country faces a trial time of 'CHANGE AT THE TOP', we endure the Peace and tranquillity leading to the direction of a better Sierra Leone.
I therefor dedicate this song (based on The Late Dr Martin Luther King's famous speech "I Have A Dream" to which I have modified the words in the context and consideration of our Sierra Leone Community wherever our people finds themselves🌞. And I do sincerely hope/dream, that our Christian Churches of ALL denominations and ALL Political colours, will adopt this prayerful song ahead of our forth coming test of change - the elections - on 7th March 2018.
May the Lord Almighty direct and guide our people in choosing a Leadership that brings forth prosperity, continued Peace and development in The Land That We Love, "Our Sierra Leone"!

"We Have A Dream":

Based on Martin Luther-King Jr. Famous Freedom Speech.

WOODLANDS 10 101 0 10 4/4 Time- To the Tune : “ Tell out my Soul” by Walter Greatorex (1877 -1949)

We Have A Dream

1. We have a dream; this nation will arise
and truly live according to its creed,
that all are equal in their maker’s eyes,
and none shall suffer through another’s greed.

2. We have a dream; that one day we shall see
a world of justice, truth and equity,
where sons and daughters all will be free
to share the banquet of our community.

3. We have a dream; our land be brought to flow’r
once made infertile by destruction’s heat
when love and truth shall end oppressive pow’r,
and streams of righteousness and justice meet.

4. We have a dream; our children shall be free
from judgements based on tribe and inequity;
free to become whatever they want to be,
of their own choosing in the light of grace.

5. We have a dream; that truth will overcome
the fear and anger of our present day;
that rich and poor will share a common home,
and hand in hand will walk in a pleasant way.

6. We have a dream; each valley will be raised
and ev’ry mountain, ev’ry hill brought down;
then shall creation echo perfect praise,
and share God’s glory under freedom’s crown.
